Oh lord, here
We are together again
Adding names to
The quilt that is already too many.
Lord we pray you would
Heal the earth
Of this disease that is affecting everyone
The elderly, our youth and some before birth
We lift our hands to you
And pray as we do
I pray we find
The end of everything
That’s not of you.
Lord we feel the pain and hurt
That affects us all
We look to you for instructions
As we continue in making this shawl.

I prayed that you
Make it threw
I prayed that
The stumbling
Blocks will be moved aside
I prayed because I seen
Your tears that you have cried
I prayed that
He wraps you in his arms
And no weapon shall
Bring you harm
I pray that the destiny
He has for you
It wrap up
In all that you do
I prayed the blessing
And favor upon your house
I prayed that he would bring you
The perfect spouse
But most of all
I prayed for you
